A letter for Ben

Hey Ben,

I going to take a shot at why we don’t hang Bill Clinton, and I could be wrong, it ain’t over yet.

Nothing will ruin something useful, like a committee. In their hearts, people know this, one God, one creation. As a result, we’ve always tended to have kings. Why? Because a people, a culture needs a direction, it needs ideas, it need problem solving. These thing can be debated and resolved through committees, but who going to lead? Who going to say, let’s do it, and who’s going to take the blame. That takes a strong, smart, courageous man, a king. He is also the face of the people, of the culture, dare I say it, the standard. As the king does, the peoples do. Shit flows downhill.

So within a culture, the king is top dawg, which translate to the face of the people among nations. He speaks for the whole of the people when dealing with other peoples. Peoples talk to peoples, by kings talking to kings. It’s the way it’s done. It’s tradition. So…..??? Killing the king? Is like killing the people. Ever play chess?

In the early 1200’s the king (I believe of England) kind of run a-muck, and the people got fed up with him and drew up the Magna Charter, and spelled out just what the king could and could not do, and they shoved it up his ass. They didn’t kill him, or depose of him, he was the king, they simply made it clear who was in charge, really, and he’d better ACT like a king or else.

Come along about 1380 pretty much the same thing happened, the king run-a-muck and they had to read him the riot act. They actually had him at sword point, and read it to him, and he so agreed. Again, they didn’t kill him or depose of him, after all he’s the king, he’s us.

The along about the mid-1600’s a fellow named Cromwell came along, a communist, (even though the term wasn’t in use yet,) and they killed King Charles the first and took over. Well it didn’t take long to find out they knew nothing, and that running a country was a big deal, and things were soon a mess, and the people got fed up again and killed ole Cromwell and ask Charles the second to take the crown. He didn't want it, “You killed my dad, you killed Cromwell, your hero, no I don’t want it.” Well they begged him, cause they had nobody else, and after long debates and agreements, no killing the king, Charles the second so agreed.

Things were shaky up until the great fire of London 1666 when the king proved himself king, and England again moving forward.

Come 1776, the colonist were thinking George the third wasn’t treating them as he ought. So they were considering deposing of him, but you can’t just do that, and stand in the world, you have to have a face, a standard, in short, a king. What were they going to do about that.

Well they did what they knew, They created a House of Lords, The elites, (The Senate) who see the bigger picture. They created the House of Commons, the many people who see it up close, who make it happen, who have the problems and live on and off the land. (House of Representatives) And so they created a King, the visionary, the guy that sees and controls the whole picture. The guy that’s got to talk to other kings, and stand their (our) ground, strike deals, make the decisions and take the blame. It’s a hell-of-a-job. (The President).

I guess my point is, it’s tradition, he was our king, he was us (so to speak). We can’t kill ourselves. We knew he was dirt when we put him in there. He was a dumb-ass hillbilly we made king, and to hold him up cause he couldn’t do the job? That ain’t right. He did what he knew, ‘he grabbed what he could.’

Now the wicked witch that follows him around on a broom, casting evil spells on everyone. She’s another story. She was never king, to good to be queen, so she just a criminal,

That’s the best I can do Ben on short notice. But I know how ya feel. Don’t think I don’t. And the rest of the cast members, they just criminals, and should be treated as such. But Bill, he was king, he was us, but he’s gone, and you can bet he’s a dragging chains with him, will to his grave. Let’s pray he repents.

Carter was another hillbilly that should not have been king. We have to remember, or learn who the president is, he is the KING even if for a short while. But for that time he is us. We need to be careful who we be making king.

Anyway Yours in Christ
